FORMA AQUAE AND ACCADEMIA ITALIANA: WHEN BATHROOM FURNITURE ENCOUNTERS DESIGN

Color is the key element that distinguishes our bathtubs and our bathroom furniture concept.
In order to allow for maximum expression, we decided to study and produce specific, creative and functional proposals together with the Accademia Italiana di Arte, Moda e Design.
This led to the idea of going beyond proposing standard color palettes to the sector professionals, such as architects or interior designers, and propose style and taste areas in which the shade of the bathtub is perfectly contextualised within the surrounding environment.

WHERE NEW IDEAS ARE CONCEIVED AND BROUGHT TO LIFE

Among the various institutes in Italy, we chose to present our project to the Accademia Italiana because it specialises in education and training in the main creative disciplines: art, fashion, design, graphics, photography.
Founded in 1984 by the architect Vincenzo Giubba, and current General Manager, with the aim of creating a laboratory of ideas inspired by the “Florentine art workshop”, Accademia Italiana is now a highly renowned academy, both in Italy and abroad.
The academy has branches in Florence and Rome and boasts long-standing partnerships with the major European and US universities.
The Accademia Italiana tutors are all professionals in their sector and combine classroom lectures with on-the-job experiences. This gives the students, in addition to a wide and articulated theory based education, the technical-practical tools needed to go on to work in a highly qualified manner.

FROM COLOR TO IOT

In addition to the creation of the taste areas and the study of colors applied to our bathtubs, our partnership with Accademia Italiana has also focused on an innovative research project on the interior design par excellence in the “bathroom” sector.
A new project involving 25 students in the Florence branch and 10 in the Rome branch, which aims to explore new concepts of the most discreet environment of the house with original solutions, constructive processes and languages.
A pathway based on a new placement of products in the home environment, presenting the spaces dedicated to wellness in a more sophisticated and high-tech manner.
Because we believe that digital is a precious resource and we are convinced that this partnership with the young designers of Accademia Italiana will generate innovative concepts.
But above all because we are always searching for smart and functional ideas that make the bathroom a comfortable, relaxing and welcoming environment.
